The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta has been operating for nearly three decades!  Evey year the first week of October brings magic to the skies in a special gathering not to be missed.  Visitors from all over the world travel to Albuquerque to watch over 700 balloons take flight.  This is the largest ballooning event on Earth and one of the most photographed.  The balloon launch field is the size of 58 football fields all put together - 78 acres!  The spectacular beauty is truly indescribable.  The 2008 Balloon Fiesta will be held from October 4 - October 12.  Aside from the main attraction, you’ll also experience family fun at the rodeo, car shows, chainsaw carving contests, flying contests and more.  Bring family and friends and join the gathering - you will love it!
